WMGIC X NATO 2023 Disinformation Challenge

The WMGIC x NATO HQ Countering Disinformation Challenge. took place on November 3rd, 2023. An accelerated version of WMGIC’s flagship event, this competition connected undergraduate students from over 25 universities and 15 countries to develop solutions for defense and diplomacy in the international sphere.. WMGIC VII 
April 7&8th 2023

​The seventh annual Global Innovation Challenge was a hack-a-thon style international development case competition open to undergraduate students. The Challenge encouraged interdisciplinary collaboration between students to discuss and design innovative solutions to internally displaced climate refugees in Bangladesh. All teams received professional mentoring and the winner of each stream received $500 each.

​Disinformation Competition

As an accelerated version of WMGIC’s flagship event, our fall competition provided a platform for undergraduate students to develop solutions to global problems related to defense and diplomacy. In 2021, our fall competition was conducted in collaboration with NATO-ACT, and addressed issues of disinformation and cybersecurity. This year, we had the distinct privilege of partnering with NATO Headquarters to host a disinformation-based case competition with seven unique topics.
